June/15/2017. Same here. I took Omeprazole (prescription) for 4 weeks and I thought I would go insane. The terrible anxiety attack came about 6.30 in the evening. I stopped taking Omeprazole yesterday. I hope this side effect together with post-urination burning sensation, lightheaded-ness, weakness and fatique will go away soon. I have been having dry-cough for weeks too. Unsure if its another side effect. I dont know what is the difference between over-the-counter and prescription Omeparazole, but the prescription one did not help with my acid reflux at all. Only taking Gaviscon (liquid) now.
