Re: MUCINEX Side Effects

I've been taking Mucinex-D 12 hour extended release with 1200mg guaifenesin and 120mg of pseudoephedrine. I had been taking it for about 4 days and on the 5th day, I couldn't take it anymore. My pulse was up, I was fatigued, and couldn't focus. I thought I was getting worse from my original chest and head cold, but started to point a finger at the medicine, since I normally get over things pretty quick. On that day 5, I barely made it though work and when I got home, I immediately went to bed without taking any more meds. I slept for nearly 11 hours and felt like a different person when I got up. The jittery feeling was gone, I could think again and my joints weren't hurting like before I went to bed. It was like a light switch.
My experiences over the 5 days: Foggy thinking, jittery, extremely fatigued, achy, join pain and a bit of dizziness. I felt like I was "on" something if that makes sense to anyone. I'm 45.
I'd say be careful with the stuff. After 3 days, stop it. I think it builds up in your system over a few days and takes awhile to get out. If you don't drink water, you WILL feel worse.
