There's so many "variables" in each of our lives, but....
I took Provigil only for a few months and then only when I felt I was dragging intolerably. I did notice it improve my sleepiness...on the short-term, I also noticed vivid dreams and a sense of wanting to engage in conversation, as well.
I've since quit taking Provigil for months now and have noticed my sleepiness still seems improved...I'm getting a lot of projects done at home without having to take my normal 2 to 3 naps a day.
What is odd is that I have also noticed apathy and a diminished libido.
To be clear, this is not depression....the apathy is such that I don't care about the apathy either. I'm functional...go to work, yadda-yadda.
The libido bothers me...more so because it is a change for me...it is distracting. I'm avoiding having women over because they expect me to perform. So although I still desire intimacy and affection, my once strong libido now finds these women as endearing and lovely, but not desirable...or at least not "hot".
There are many variables in all our lives, but Provigil is the only medication I have every taken, so I'm attributing this drastic change in libido possibly to the drug.
