I have been taking all of the antihypertonicas and all of them caused side effects which made my life misery. On and off Olmesartan. Side effects: nausea, flatulence, abdominal cramps, dizziness, sleep disturbance, sweating, back ache, muscle ache, you name it. Very little effect on blood pressure.
I am at the end of my tether, so is my (very understanding) doctor. Good to read the comments, at least I am not alone.
The only effective medication is felodipine (calcium antagonist) - but side effects are intolerable.
There are days when I could just throw the lot out the window.
