African-American Female (Age: 50+)
Diagnosis: Uterine Fibroid - tumor-like growths inside the uterus making a woman APPEAR pregnant and at the birthing stage of pregnancy.
Continued diagnosis: Least 5 Fibroids (possibly 6) seen in Ultrasound test with largest being 12.7 centimeters in size.
OB/Gyne doctor wants to do a MRI with a GADOLINIUM CONTRAST AGENT.
Need to hear from others IF, IF this is a safe contrast agent for examining Uterine Fibroids in consideration of my overall condition as stated below.
Other health issues include:
High Blood Pressure - moderate to high and on 4 daily medications.
Twenty Nail Dystrophy -
Affecting all nails. Yellowing/Greening growth phases plus brittle uneven nails due to consistent breakage.
Some Hair Baldness -
(not hereditary, linked to lack of Vitamin B-Complex which encourages vast menstrual flow due to high levels of Vitamin B6 within the complex).
Paternal Family History:
High Blood Pressure; and
CANCER (kidneys, lungs, limbs resultant in death's).
Maternal Family History:
Uterine Fibroids;
Dementia;
1-Leg Slightly Shorter than the Other Leg; and
Some degree of Strokes (likely due to dietary/sedentary habits of relatives).
