IT helps to a certain extent, but at the same time it polish your teeth too much, so to speak making you dependent on them. And dentist is happy to have more work. When i was a kid there was not a long waiting list today its 1 month waiting at my dentist office. Why has people problem with sensitive teeth? i remember as a kid you had to brush vigorously because it never felt clean , i often had tartar build up. Something i dont have now. I guess people brush to hard if you only make small strokes back and forward and brush slowly and not in a rush they will be clean whilst the polishing will be at a minimum. I.e. I brush with a medium brush with water only (not to polish too much) then i use extra soft bristles with the toothpaste.
