I have been diagnosed with O.C.D (Obsessive Compulsive Order) and anxiety spells also some allergies and nasal problems.
My Psychiatrist just a few weeks ago prescribed me Gabapentin 300 mg and Clonazepam .05 mg. No problems for the first week or so but just recently am tired more and drowzy and just three days ago srarted running a moderate fever! the Clonazepam I''m not to take it every day, I only get 15 pills a month, So it's like just 3 days a week. I am also on Zoloft (Sertaline)100 mg once a day and Lissinopril 20 mg.. I've been on the Zoloft for about 21 years, and no problems. I do suffer from mood swings, depression. My Family Physician just recently put me on Nexium 20 mg, I also have an ulcer and stomach problems. I have a hietial hernia (However you spell it.)
At night I take Advil P.M to help me sleep,I don't sleep too well.
Today was sort of bad with mild light dizziness, but then I had a spell today this afternoon where I really felt hot and did have a fairly high temperature! 3:15pm- 101.8 RECTAL. Oral this morning was reading around 99.2. But later I was feeling drowsy and light headed and warm, that's when a girlfriend came over who is a Nurse Student, anyhow after she tried an oral reading on me
(with a digital thermometer that she brought.) insisted it was inaccurate and thought it ought to be taken in a different location to get a better thermometer reading.....I thought.. . ugh"-oh.underarm? Did you bring an ear or forehead thermometer? "No,not those kind!" She said, then in her satchel pulled out an old type mercury thermometer! She had it at her home.
I really thought under my arm would be good enough, she did not agree! She firmly believes that accuracy is needed this time. She thought I might need to go to the E.R. She then talked me though it and I cooperated for about five minutes! 101.8. by rectum.
I am tired of these symptoms and fevers and not sure if it's the new meds or not.My family DR. doesn't take the time with me, and the other thinks Gabapentin and Clonazepam will work, it just takes awhile to adjust in your system. I feel better this evening,I guess it takes time!
