I began taking Minocycline Nov. of 2012 at the age of 17 for acne and began to have anxiety attacks about 2 weeks after. The attacks became more and more severe to the point where I was ready to check into the mental hospital. It then dawned on me that the anxiety started near the time I started Minocycline. I did research, and sure enough, it was a side effect. And since taking it, I have become more prone to eczema outbreaks around my neck and sometimes face. My doctor did not mention anything about the possible side effects. I stopped taking it the 27th of December, 2012. The anxiety is not as severe, but it has never gone away. It's been 8 months now. And according to a study done by the FDA I found, none of the people who experienced anxiety as a side effect have recovered. Minocycline is a drug that has the potential to do more harm than good. Don't use it. It ruined my senior year, and now it's screwing up my life.
